I am a native of Colorado.  I received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University before going into private practice in the Denver metropolitan area for sixteen years.  In 1986 I returned to Colorado State University and completed a Master of Science degree in Anatomy and Biomedical Illustration.  Upon completion I continued in Veterinary Medicine and worked with the Denver Dumb Fiends League, PetsMart Veterinary Services and for the past seven years have taught at Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. In May of 2007 I retired from teaching.

In 1991 I established Sealing Illustration.  I have illustrated a number of textbooks, articles in journals and posters.  My artwork has been exhibited in the Rocky Mountain Watermedia Show and the Association of Medical Illustrators Salon.  I create both traditional and computer-generated illustrations.  I am currently a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.

"Animals and art have always played primary roles in my life.  I feel fortunate in being able to combine both of my passions into one creative endeavor.  The inner beauty of the body is one of my fascinations; how it is constructed and works, both in humans and in all creatures. This magnificence is what I strive to portray in my projects." - Les Sealing
